My Rosa

Rosa is seven and she is my special girl whom my mom calls my "angel child". She is super smart and very compassionate. She started walking at eight months and talking at nine months. She came with a sweet obedient personality. Because she could talk so early her level of understanding at a young age was amazing!

Sometimes we would forget how old, or rather, young she was. I could explain things to her and she just accepted it. She learned quickly about helping mommy. I remember when she was just over a year, we went ouside and she said to me "careful Mama, hose" I knew already that it was there but that so sweet and perceptive for one so young. We never really had any two year old tantrums or disobedience. I would tell her something and she just listened. She also was pretty shy and clingy so I didn't have to worry about her running away from me or not coming when I called. She pretty much wanted me to do everything with her so we explored play structures and new areas together.

I did put bells on her shoes sometimes so I could hear her especially when we went to places with lot of people. We have decided to homeschool our children so she would be in second grade but I don't really measure her learning that way. She loves to read which has been so much fun for us all. She's always been pretty much ahead in academics too. We learn at her pace. Right now she is working on writing which is probably my only concern simply cuz I can't coach her in it. Josh helps her and we have lots of work books and give her lots of practice. I'm sure she'll be writing just fine though.

She loves to help me too. I make sure she knows though that I can do things just fine on my own. I never want her to feel like she's obligated to be with me when she should be out with friends and enjoyeing her lif and own experiences.

By the way, neither of my children are great about picking up their toys but you know it really hasn't been an issue for me. It's more of an issue to Josh who likes things neat and tidy. :) Rosa loves fairies and princess and right now loves loves loves Tinkerbell! :) She is my sweet fun girl and I love having her in our lives.
